We need to get more posts out on a regular basis for all of you out there in internet world. Hopefully, we will have a new video or two coming soon, but have to find the time to film in the gym. In the meantime though, I have noticed that my energy has been a little on the low side lately, especially during my workouts. In talking with my brother about this, we realized this happens every summer and I decided I was going to put up a quick post to help you get the best bicep workouts you can during the summer without letting the heat affect you too much. Maybe this has never even crossed your mind, but the heat can take a lot out of you before you even hit the gym. One of my favorite things to do in my free time (pronounced: rare) is to relax at the pool and read a book. That can cause trouble for a few reasons, but here are a couple tips for you:
1. Drink plenty of water all of the time, but especially during the hot months in the summer. Hydration is crucial when demanding peak performance from your body during a bicep workout. Being out in the sun will dehydrate you, so keep this in mind.
2. If at all possible, stay out of the sun before your workouts. Not only does the sun dehydrate you, but you will feel more sluggish and your workouts will suffer. Being in the sun for long periods of time before working out will zap your energy and you will feel lethargic. It goes hand-in-hand with #1.
3. Stay focused on your goals. With summer months, it is easy to get sidetracked and end up messing up your sleep schedule or your workout schedule. Personally, I have been spending a lot of time traveling, which has affected my sleep schedule and my workout schedule, but I still do my best to get back on the right schedule as fast as possible. Altering your schedule can quickly start to take a toll on your health. Try your best to give your body the sleep it needs and maintain a steady workout routine.
